Music around the World: A global sound adventure for babies & toddlers

At Tippytoes Music Playgroup, we believe music is one of the best ways to connect, explore, and grow — especially for the little ones.

That’s why we’re taking your babies and toddlers on a “Music Around the World” adventure this season — specially designed for little ones aged 8 months to 2 years, introducing them to a vibrant mix of global sounds, languages and rhythms.

It’s all about exploring music from different cultures and time periods — helping kids not only develop musically, but also gain a fun, early appreciation for the world around them — all while having fun through singing, dancing, and interactive play.

🎶 Song & Dance in Every Language!

We love mixing things up! That means singing familiar songs like:

“Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in Japanese

“If You’re Happy and You Know It” in Italian

“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” in Chinese

And how about a cute Korean classic?

Singing in different languages sparks early interest in words, sounds, and rhythm — and it’s super fun to see the little ones copying new words with big grins on their faces!

💖 Celebrate Your Child’s Culture (and Others!)

Many of our families light up when they hear a song in their language or see an instrument from their culture. Whether it’s singing in Mandarin, dancing to Bollywood beats, or listening to Irish folk rhythms — these experiences help kids feel connected to their heritage or the place they live.

And even if it’s new to them — it opens up their ears and hearts to the amazing diversity around us!

What else are there?

At Tippytoes Music Playgroup, you’ll always be exposed to different music genres and styles other than baby music, throughout the year, just to jazz things up a little.

We throw in kid-friendly versions of songs from all over the musical map:

🕺 From Jazz to Classical to Pop & Rock n Roll — Baby Style , through the various eras.

It’s a treat for the kids — and for the grown-ups who get to sing along to songs from their childhood too!

🌍 Explore Cool Instruments from Around the World

Each season, we’ll bring in a special musical instrument for little hands to explore — both traditional and modern instruments from different cultures.

It’s not just about seeing or hearing them — it’s about feeling their textures, watching how sounds are made, and exploring movement and sound.

Some of the instruments featured at Tippytoes Music Playgroup include:

🎐 Indonesia’s Gamelan: A set of tuned percussion instruments that offer rich, layered melodies.

🎋 Malaysia’s Angklung: Bamboo rattles that create soothing, harmonious sounds.

🎼 Accordion: A popular European instrument used in folk and pop music. Squishy, melodic fun!

🪇 Japanese Wooden Clappers (Hyōshigi): Used in traditional Japanese storytelling and festivals. Snappy and fun to watch!

Join us at Tippytoes Music Playgroup — where music knows no borders, and every session is a passport to play, learning, and laughter!

Sing the world with us — one playful note at a time. 🎶

See you there with your little one(s)! 🌍🎵🎶
